What NGC Does

  1. Authenticates the piece, confirming it is genuine.
  2. Grades it on the 70-point Sheldon scale. Proof pieces receive a PF grade, such as PF70.
  3. Encapsulates it in a sealed, tamper-evident holder, often called a slab.
  4. Labels the holder with the grade, a description and a unique certification number.

Read the Label

Every NGC holder carries a label with the grade, a description of the piece and its certification number. Use that number to look the piece up on NGC’s website.

Why Independent Grading Matters

Because NGC does not sell the pieces it grades, its opinion is independent of the seller. The sealed holder protects the surfaces, so the condition you buy is the condition you keep.

How to Verify an NGC Piece

  • Find the certification number and grade printed on the label.
  • Enter the number in NGC’s online certification lookup at ngccoin.com.
  • Confirm the description and grade match the label, and that the holder shows no signs of tampering.

Graded PF70 by NGC

Many Trump Coins releases, including the UFC and Lady Liberty editions, are graded PF70 by NGC.
